Pete Arden

Pete Arden, Principal

Pete Arden has been creating highly engaging experiences for consumers for nearly two decades.

As a marketing and product-development manager at Island/PolyGram Records for much of the 1990s, Pete was among the first music-industry executives to utilize both word-of-mouth tactics and the nascent World Wide Web to connect recording artists directly to their most ardent fans.

In 1998 Pete was recruited to join Organic’s newly formed media and marketing division, where he helped companies like Compaq, Toys’R’Us, and Barnes & Noble explore new ways to reach the rapidly growing online audience. He followed that with senior marketing and product-development roles at specialty online retailer NextPlanetOver, Hasbro’s Games.com casual gaming site, and PlanetOut Inc., an early entrant in the community and social networking space.

In recent years, he has been a tireless advocate for user-centered design and its strategic importance for business, working on a variety of projects for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Online, Charles Schwab & Co., and other Fortune 500 companies.

Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in cognition and philosophy from New York University.
